1984 LOTUS ELITE (BARN FIND)

We get quite a few Classics belonging to our customers in through our workshop, We purchased a Lotus Elite 2.2 that has been laid up for 15 years. The car has a very interesting history, it was originally owned by one of Lotus Cars own directors and has a full factory Lotus Service history, it also has a very low mileage of only 46,000 miles from new, it is  a rare power steering model too with the desireable Getrag 5 speed gearbox (not the terrible Austin Maxi type !) We are currently carrying out full recommisioning on the Car. As it is a fibre glass body there is obviously no major bodywork required other than a paint re spray in order to get it in mint condition again, we have carried out an overhaul on the motor and it is back in fine fettle again, just needing some minor bits done now, retuning the twin 40's and a good tidy up, we have a lot to do over the next while and will update the website on a continues basis to let you see how we are getting on with our own project. We carry out this sort of work on a regular basis on customers own vehicles too. 

We will get the interior to as good as new condition again also, as you can see in the picture this will be no easy job
